On behalf of our client, a leading company in the refractory industry, we are looking for a Refractory Craftsman. Are you someone who enjoys varied, physical work and takes pride in a job done well? Then this is your chance.
As a All-Round Construction Worker, no two days are the same. The work is highly varied: one moment you are bricklaying or tiling, the next you are welding, pouring concrete or demolishing. Both in our own workshop and on location, you build refractory constructions that can withstand extreme heat. You work in different teams and shifts, and you get to see unique industrial sites that remain hidden from most people.
Whether it is pouring a mould or precision work on a furnace, quality always comes first. You can start as Craftsman A, with the opportunity to grow into Craftsman B for more complex constructions, and eventually even into a Foreman role. No experience yet? No problem, our client provides in-house training and the opportunity to obtain certifications. Here, employees' ambitions are taken seriously, within an informal working atmosphere with short lines of communication and close-knit teams.
What we ask
You will probably recognise yourself in this profile right away. You have a vmbo working and thinking level, but above all you have the drive to work and learn; experience is a bonus, but not a must. You are in good physical condition, as this is heavy, physical work, and you are flexible and willing to work in changing teams and shifts. Safe working comes first for you; a VCA certificate is a plus, or you are willing to obtain one through our client.
